Zion and Camelot

What a revelation!  (Pun intended)

I arrived late in to Salt Lake City (SLC) and was slightly
Concerned about a) getting a taxi and b) what my accommodation would be like.

Camelot inn & hostel is the only hostel in SLC and the garish yellow and blue exterior is rather an eyesore!

However, all previous reviews were good and many praised the unique un manned check in/out.

Camelot is completely remotely run - you check in by computer (after entering the building with a pre-advised code) then the pc gives you your room number and code to access the key safe to retrieve the key to your room.   When you check out you just use the key safe to replace said key and that's it!

Incredibly slick and easy Camelot had good facilities and was clean and tidy.  The only problem its that It seemed to lack personality.  The owner was only ever a phone call away but the lack of personal service could not be replaced by the computer and countless laminated Instruction sheets. Anyway it had all that i needed and was within walking distance of the city.
